Shaper's Comments:
I designed the 8'2A to be a serious “big guy” blank for either high performance, retro’s, or fun gun styles. I desinged this blank with a performance bottom curve and enough volume for 00 lb. surfers. It should be able to yield 8'0" x 24" x 3¾" with ability to position the overall rocker and nose widths as needed. Cutting 2" length off the nose will enable a 18½" nose width at 12" back, and facilitate well for big guy fish designs. My special thanks to Ben Aipa who provided inspiration on the overall design of this blank and the new 9' A.
